The Thrombostat is a semi-automated mechanical in vitro coagulation analyzer which delivers high quality results with simplicity and reliability. ■ Measuring system The mechanical measuring system with a magnetic sensor which is monitoring a rotating steel ball on the bottom of the cuvette is able to detect the coagulation in whole blood and plasma samples. Different parameters lead to clot detection; the ball stops due to a strong clot or the ball is centered to the middle of the cuvette due to a weak clot. ■ Flexibility After switching on the system automatically checks all important functions and is ready for use in a short time. ■ Standardized workflowWith definable incubation time for the test, as well as acoustic or visible signal when finished, incubating sample and reagent is easy. A countdown timer ensures the pipetting of start-reagent exactly after start of the measurement.
